Origin: Natural hybrid of C. Crenata and C. Sativa, originating from Ardèche
Recommended 
cultivation area:
Warm regions such as Gironde, Dordogne, Atlantic Pyrenees, at altitudes below 250-300 m. Frost-sensitive in proximity to the ocean, where winters are too mild.

Specific features: A slow-developing tree, better suited to medium-depth soils than Marigoule.
Stocks: Of interest on its own roots, ink-resistant. Can be used as stock.
Vigour: Average to low.
Bearing: Straight.
Fruiting: Quick.
Budding: Early to very early when February is mild. Sensitive to spring frosts.
Productivity: Strong.
Diseases: Resistant to ink in its own roots, resistant to leaf-rust, not greatly sensitive to withering or trunk diseases.
Male flowers: Long-staminate (pollen of limited fertility).
Pollinating agents: All long-staminate C. Sativa + CA 75.
Flowering period: Male flowers 20 June – 1 July.
Female flowers: 20 June – 10 July.

  General assessment
This clone is of great interest because of its ink-resistant and not greatly demanding root system, although its production is limited to a few warm locations.
It probably has a future as a graft stock in other regions.
