cultivation area:
Ardèche, Lozère, Gard at less than 500 m altitude. A few very warm locations in the South-West.

Specific features: Young trees have a very erect development.
Stocks: Must be grafted onto ink-resistant stocks.
Vigour: Average.
Bearing: Very erect.
Fruiting: Quite slow – 4 to 5 years.
Budding: Very late.
Productivity: Good between 300 and 500 m.
Diseases: Very sensitive to leaf rust, reduced sensitivity to codling moth and balmin.
Male flowers: Non-staminate (no pollen).
Pollinating agents: All long-staminate C. Sativa + CA 75
Flowering period: Male flowers none, female flowers about 15 July.

  General assessment
A well-known variety, of high quality, which may be suitable for all uses (fresh and industrial), and is particularly suitable for export. Its area of cultivation is however still quite limited.
