Origin: C. Sativa, originates from Dordogne

cultivation area:
Variety suitable for altitudes of 500-600 m on South-West slopes of Massif Central: Limousin, Midi-Pyrénées. Not known in Brittany or in South-East.

Specific features: This clone does not conform with other “Verdale” appellations.
Stocks: Must be grafted onto ink-resistant stocks.
Vigour: Quite strong.
Bearing: Half erect.
Fruiting: Quite quick – 2-3 years.
Budding: Half late in Dordogne, not frost-sensitive.
Productivity: Good.
Diseases: Quite resistant to leaf rust.
Male flowers: Long staminate, fertile pollen except for Cambéroune.
Pollinating agents: All long-staminate C. Sativa + CA 75 recommended.
Flowering period: Male flowers 25 June to 5 July, female flowers 5-15 July.
